Solid propulsion prime for the Vega space launcher and rocket motors for European missile programmes.

Avio S.p.A., headquartered in Colleferro near Rome, traces its origins to 1908 and has been listed on Borsa Italiana since 2017. It is prime contractor and design authority for the European Vega launcher family and supplies solid propulsion for missiles such as Aster 30 and CAMM-ER. The company employs around 1,200 people and builds the carbon-cased solid boosters for Ariane 6 and Vega C.
