State-owned European leader in military propellants, explosives and energetic materials.
Eurenco was created in 2004 from the propellants and explosives activities of France's SNPE together with Saab and Patria, and is now owned by the French state through the Agence des participations de l'Etat. The group produces artillery propellants, military explosives and modular propellant charges at plants in France, Sweden and Belgium, and is restarting explosive powder production at Bergerac under a 500 million euro investment plan. Its head office is in Sorgues and it employs around 1,500 people.
