Nammo is a munitions and propulsion group owned 50/50 by the Norwegian state and Finland's Patria, formed in 1998 from the Nordic ammunition operations of Raufoss, Celsius and Patria. It produces small, medium and large calibre ammunition, the M72 shoulder-launched weapon family, and solid rocket motors for missiles including AMRAAM and IRIS-T. The group also supplies space propulsion, including components for Ariane 6, and has grown from 2,800 employees in 2022 to more than 4,100 across 27 production sites in 12 countries.
