Omnipol is a Prague-based defence and aerospace group founded in 1934, employing over 4,000 people of whom more than 500 work in research and development. It owns passive surveillance specialist ERA, producer of the VERA-NG and PLESS passive ESM trackers, tactical communications and avionics maker MESIT, and L-410 aircraft manufacturer Aircraft Industries, acquired in 2022. The group also acts as trade and programme partner for Czech defence exports, including the L-39NG jet trainer programme.
