PLATH was founded in Hamburg in 1954 by radio engineer Maximilian Waechtler and has grown from 14 employees at founding to more than 600 worldwide. The group operates five specialised business units across four countries and positions itself as a leading provider of COMINT, ELINT and electronic warfare systems and an independent system integrator for electronic warfare, supporting operations on land, at sea, in the air and in cyberspace. Group revenue was about 110 million euros in 2020.
