Weibel Scientific designs and manufactures X-band Doppler radars in Allerod north of Copenhagen, with roots in the 1936 electronics firm M. P. Weibel and established under its current name in 1977. Its muzzle velocity and tracking radars are used by NASA, the US Army, and militaries in dozens of countries for weapons testing and missile defence instrumentation. The XENTA radar family has been ordered for Danish and Norwegian short-range air defence and for drone detection, and the company employs about 300 people.
